Thank you for writing us! The official name of the park is the Francis M. Pattno & John F. Gale Memorial Park located on Grove Road in Au Sable Forks, NY. The land was donated by the families to the Town to provide a safe place for our children to play and foster their athletic abilities. There are many individuals who have been instrumental in building our youth recreation facilities to the shining example it is today and most recently the Gordon Family donated the funds to build a Pavilion in Memory of Waxy Gordon. This Pavilion provides shelter for our youth from the outdoor elements. Our historian could provide you more on the Pattno/Gale family history by emailing her at historian@townofjay.net
Thank you for inquiring!
