Thomas Sheridan of Saranac Lake founded "Meet the Town" (local guides with advertising and information) in 1927.
Sheridan expanded into the Au Sable Valley, putting together the Au Sable Valley Guide  in 1962, of which the copy
on view here is from 1963, the only two known years the guide was produced for the AuSable Valley.
